Under the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management (Framework Agreement), Wasauksing First Nation will be able to manage our own land, resources and environment according own land code, laws and policies.
The Framework Agreement will help Wasauksing get out from under 34 land-related limitations of the Indian Act in order to re-take control of our land and resources.

will reflect the unique needs, traditions, and teachings of our community.
Our Land Code will help to provide a prosperous, self-sufficient, and sustainable future for our people, provide sound environmental protection, and help protect our way of life, for ourselves and for our future generations.
